Overall Job Purpose

The postholder will support the delivery of communications, public relations,
digital content, and marketing activity for Barcud. You will help bring our story
to life by sharing the experiences of our tenants, communities, and colleagues,
and showcasing the impact of our work.
Working across a range of channels, you will create clear and engaging
content for colleagues, stakeholders, journalists, and the wider public. From
social media content and digital campaigns to media relations and internal
communications, you will play an active role in helping Barcud communicate
and connect with its audiences.
You will support both planned and reactive communications activity, acting as
a first point of contact for media and communications enquiries and helping
ensure timely and accurate responses. This is a varied role that requires a
flexible, proactive approach and the ability to work effectively.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in creating clear, engaging, and accessible content for a range of
audiences and channels, including internal communications, media
statements, social media posts, newsletters, and basic graphics and
videos.
• Help turn campaign ideas into engaging social media content that
connects with tenants and communities.
• Support effective internal communications by developing content for the
intranet and regular staff bulletins.
• Support the updating and monitoring of the Barcud website to ensure
content is accurate, relevant, and up to date.
• Assist with organising and promoting internal and external events and
campaigns.
• Provide communications and administrative support across campaigns
and digital channels, including scheduling content.
• Support the production of photography and video content for use across
digital and print communications.
• Help maintain a consistent Barcud brand and tone of voice across all
communications channels and materials.
• Support the development and distribution of the quarterly newsletter and
assist with digital marketing activity, including email campaigns.
• Act as a first point of contact for media enquiries, ensuring responses
are timely and accurate, and maintain the media enquiries log.
• Support the preparation of media lines, briefings, and press releases.
• Monitor traditional and social media channels and help create
responsive content to maintain Barcud’s online presence and relevance.
• Support campaign evaluation by producing monitoring reports and
using insights to improve engagement and reach.
• Work closely with colleagues across the Group to support
communications activity and encourage effective use of communication
tools.
• Manage workload effectively and support delivery of communications
activity to deadlines.

Corporate Responsibilities
• Provide excellent customer service both internally and externally.
• Work in line with Barcud’s equality, diversity, inclusion, and belonging
commitments in all aspects of service delivery and employment.
• Promote effective communication, high quality tenant and community
services, and continuous improvement across all areas of Barcud’s work.
• Take part in learning and development opportunities relevant to the role.

Carry out any other duties and responsibilities that may reasonably be
requested. This job description is not intended to be exhaustive and may be
reviewed and updated in line with changing business needs and
organisational requirements.
