Role responsibilities

Support the business planning process to deliver the output corporate strategy and business plan that meets the requirements of Transport for Wales (TfW) Board and Welsh Government ensuring alignment with the TfW Business Planning Framework.

  • Support the development and analysis of TfW’s Corporate Strategy and Annual Business Plan through the business planning cycle and processes that preserves and strengthens stakeholder confidence to ensure that an effective Corporate Strategy and Annual Business Plan is developed, approved, and delivered.
  • Support the development of TfW’s Annual Business Plan by working across the business directorates to collate and analyse the relevant data and information to ensure that the plan encapsulates TfW’s corporate priorities and is aligned to the TfW Business Planning Framework.
  • Maintain guidance for directorates by developing a “line of sight” for each directorate that demonstrates how a directorate and their functions contribute to the business plan to ensure that a level of consistency is seen across the organisation in producing an effective business plan.
  • Deliver the Corporate Strategy and Annual Business Plan performance reporting framework by capturing systematically and identifying and highlighting issues and risks that may affect the delivery of the Corporate Strategy and Business Plan to brings consistency and understanding for a range of internal and external stakeholders.

 

Who we’re looking for

  • Degree in Accountancy/Finance, Maths, Science or Business Studies or similar, or significant relevant experience.
  • Experience of analysing and explaining complex information both verbally and in written reports, quantitative and qualitative data
  • Experience of reporting tools and production of reports e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

 

Welsh Language Skills

The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.

Transport for Wales supports and promotes the use of the Welsh Language by employees and will encourage them to develop, improve and maintain their Welsh Language skills. We fully support our people who want to improve their Welsh language skills, and personal development for Welsh Language skills are offered in a variety of ways such as online learning, classroom courses and funding attendance at local community courses.
