Organisation: Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd (CCDG), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Welsh Government

We provide an essential, all-age, independent, impartial, and bilingual careers guidance and coaching services in Wales, including the Working Wales service.

Minimum Welsh requirement: Intermediate level Welsh language skills

 

Job Details

  • Base: Neath Careers Centre
  • Hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday
  • Salary Scale: £25,957 - £26,131
  • Starting Salary: £25,957 per annum
  • Closing Date: Midnight on 26/02/26

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and reception support to the Working Wales team
  • Follow everyday and work-related conversations in Welsh, participate in discussions, describe experiences/plans, and write clear emails/messages
  • Deal with queries via telephone, email, and face-to-face
  • Commitment to excellent customer service
  • Manage non-routine enquiries requiring negotiation and persuasion
  • Demonstrable ICT skills
  • Organise and prioritise workload and deadlines
  • Use initiative and judgement in day-to-day duties
  • Work effectively as part of a team

Note: Although Neath is the base, the postholder may cover Swansea and Llanelli Careers Centres.

 

Training

Successful candidates will undertake a Level 2 Business Administration Apprenticeship if not already qualified.

Selection Process

Applications must be submitted by midnight on 26/02/26. Selection includes a research/written test via Teams and face-to-face interviews at Neath Careers Centre, week commencing 16/03/2026. Applications in Welsh or English are welcomed.
