Menter Iaith Casnewydd is a not-for-profit community company and registered charity that exists to enable and promote opportunities for the communities of Newport to live and work through the medium of Welsh.
We receive Welsh Government funding to employ 2 full-time staff, a Hello Blod Officer (Welsh in Business promotion scheme) and a handful of community part-time staff.
We’re keen to appoint a voluntary member to our management committee’s finance sub-committee with responsibility for fundraising who will contribute to the work of the sub-committee by developing and implementing our fundraising strategy. In this way, you will be responsible for raising funds at a community level and also seeking and seeking joint grants with the Chief Officer.
You should be keen to promoting the Welsh language, with a basic experience and understanding of finding funding opportunities and drawing up successful grant applications, an understanding of community and charitable work, and the willingness to work alongside the Menter's staff and management committee.
