About Us
Eryri National Park Authority (ENPA) protects the natural beauty, wildlife, and cultural heritage of Eryri National Park. Covering 823 square miles, the park is home to the highest mountain in Wales, the largest natural lake in Wales, and over 26,000 people.
We are now looking for a Conservation Apprentice to join us on a full-time basis, for a 12 month fixed-term, splitting your time between the ENPA and the National Trust.

The Role
As a Conservation Apprentice, you will support both the Eryri National Park Authority and the National Trust in carrying out practical conservation and land management activities.
Specifically, you will work across the park, assisting in managing woodlands, maintaining vegetation, and supporting biodiversity projects.
Your role will also consist of constructing, maintaining and repairing fencing, hedging and walling and signs/way markers as well as preparing and operating power tools and attachments.
Additionally, you will:
- Support community, educational, and volunteer-led activities
- Promote the Countryside Code and environmental awareness
- Maintain equipment and observe health and safety standards
Please note, this role will involve working outside in sometimes challenging weather and ground conditions.
About You
To be considered as a Conservation Apprentice, you will need:
- The ability to communicate in Welsh and English
- Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- An awareness of National Park purposes
- A full, valid driving licence
The closing date for this role is 10th of December 2024.
