Education Development Officer
Salary: £23,000 per annum
Location: Swansea Bay
Hours: 35 hours
Background to the post
Its core purpose is to promote the stable home message to young people through engagement with the education system and youth organisations. It is supported by a national Advisory Group, where information is shared and a coordinated approach to homelessness prevention is achieved.
To support and continue to develop the education service for schools and other organisations in relation to young people and leaving home. To develop, maintain and promote resources and provide support to organisations wishing to establish education initiatives. To involve young people in promoting the leaving home education agenda and to campaign for its inclusion within relevant strategies and frameworks, locally and nationally.
- Work outside office hours may sometimes be necessary and will be compensated for by time off in lieu.
- Annual leave of 29 days plus 2 concessionary days at Christmas and New Year (excluding statutory and national holidays).
- A fixed rate allowance is payable for agreed mileage undertaken on business in a private vehicle
